history: 1992 Honda NSX-R NA1

For my 2nd project, I decided to get a Tamiya reissue of the 1992 Honda NSX-R NA1.  The reissued kit includes all the components of the original kit from the early 90's, but adds a nice set of photo-etched parts.

Besides being one of the most timeless looking automobiles, it is a car packed with technology still modern 20 years later.  It has features like drive by wire throttle, all aluminum construction including the suspension components, titanium connecting rods, and traction control.  As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm lucky enough to own an NSX NA2 and always have fun motoring in it, but It's still no NSX-R.  So, I guess this Tamiya kit will help fill that void some what.
